Refund policy

Effective Date: July 17th 2026 | COMBAT MIRROR™ Hardware Device Only | Version: 1.0

Overview

At COMBAT MIRROR™, we stand behind the quality and performance of our hardware. The COMBAT MIRROR™ is the world's only strikeable mirror — a precision-engineered, AI-powered training device designed for combat sports athletes, professional teams, military personnel, law enforcement, and clinical rehabilitation professionals.

This Global Returns & Refund Policy governs the return, repair, replacement, and refund of the COMBAT MIRROR™ hardware device only. It does not apply to software subscriptions, the COMBAT MIRROR™ application, digital services, or any associated data services. This policy is designed to comply with applicable consumer protection legislation across our primary markets: Australia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit, exclude, or override any statutory right that you have under the law of your country of purchase.

1. Important Considerations Before Returning

The COMBAT MIRROR™ is a large, heavy, precision-engineered hardware device. Before initiating any return, customers should be aware of the following:

All returns require pre-authorization. Please contact our Customer Support team before shipping or arranging collection of the device. Returns received without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number may be refused.

Original packaging is strongly recommended. The COMBAT MIRROR™ ships in custom-engineered protective packaging. Returning the device without its original packaging may result in transit damage, which could affect your eligibility for a full refund on change-of-mind returns. For faulty returns, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis.

Condition requirements for change-of-mind returns. Where a change-of-mind return is permitted under this policy or applicable law, the device must be in its original, undamaged, and unmodified condition, including all accessories, mounting hardware, manuals, and original packaging. Devices showing signs of installation, use, or physical modification may not be eligible for a change-of-mind refund.

Freight costs for large goods. Due to the size and weight of the COMBAT MIRROR™, return freight is a significant cost. Where you are responsible for return shipping (e.g., change-of-mind returns), we strongly recommend using an insured, specialist freight carrier. COMBAT MIRROR™ accepts no liability for damage incurred during return transit where the customer has arranged shipping.

2. Grounds for Return

Returns are accepted on the following grounds, subject to the region-specific provisions in Section 3:

Ground for Return Eligibility Who Pays Return Freight Restocking Fee
Faulty or defective hardware Always eligible under applicable law COMBAT MIRROR™ None
Hardware not as described Always eligible under applicable law COMBAT MIRROR™ None
Hardware unfit for purpose Always eligible under applicable law COMBAT MIRROR™ None
Damage in transit (on delivery) Eligible if reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence COMBAT MIRROR™ None
Change of mind (online purchase) Eligible within the applicable cooling-off period (see Section 3) Customer Up to 15% (see Section 5)
Change of mind (in-person purchase) At our discretion, subject to applicable law Customer Up to 15% (see Section 5)

3. Region-Specific Consumer Rights

Your statutory rights depend on the jurisdiction in which you purchased and received the COMBAT MIRROR™ device. The provisions below are designed to meet or exceed the minimum requirements of applicable consumer protection law in each region.

3.1 Australia

Governing Legislation: Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Schedule 2 — Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

The COMBAT MIRROR™ comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Under the ACL, our goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, match their description, and comply with any express warranty we provide.

Major Failures

You are entitled to choose a full refund or a like-for-like replacement if the COMBAT MIRROR™ hardware has a major failure. A major failure exists where the device:

  • is unsafe;
  • is significantly different from the description or sample provided at the time of sale;
  • has a problem that would have prevented you from purchasing it had you known about it; or
  • cannot be used for its normal purpose and cannot be repaired within a reasonable time.

You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from the failure. We cannot deduct an amount from a refund to account for use you have had of the product where a major failure exists.

Minor Failures

For a minor failure, we will repair the device free of charge within a reasonable time. If we are unable or unwilling to repair the device within a reasonable time, you may then choose a replacement or refund.

Change of Mind

The ACL does not require us to accept returns for change of mind. We do not offer change-of-mind returns to Australian customers unless otherwise agreed in writing at the time of sale.

Return Freight for Faulty Goods

As the COMBAT MIRROR™ is a large, heavy item, we are responsible for arranging and paying for the collection of faulty hardware from your nominated Australian address. Please do not attempt to ship the device without our prior coordination.

Timeframe

There is no fixed statutory timeframe for consumer guarantee claims under the ACL. Your rights apply for a period that is reasonable given the nature and price of the product. We recommend contacting us as soon as a fault becomes apparent.

3.2 United Kingdom

Governing Legislation: Consumer Rights Act 2015; Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

Distance Selling — 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If you purchased the COMBAT MIRROR™ online, by phone, or by mail order, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of the day you (or a nominated person) receive the hardware, without giving any reason. You must inform us of your decision to cancel within this 14-day window. You then have a further 14 days from the date you notified us to return the hardware.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the hardware to us. Given the size and weight of the COMBAT MIRROR™, this cost may be substantial. We will refund the standard delivery cost you paid at the time of purchase, but we are not obliged to refund any premium delivery costs. We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned hardware.

Faulty, Misdescribed, or Unfit Hardware — Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • Within 30 days of delivery: You have a short-term right to reject the hardware and receive a full refund if it is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
  • Within 6 months of delivery: If a fault becomes apparent within 6 months, we will attempt one repair or replacement. If unsuccessful, or if we cannot complete it within a reasonable time without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a full or partial refund.
  • Between 6 months and 6 years: You may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund, but you will need to demonstrate that the fault existed at the time of delivery.

Return Freight for Faulty Goods

We will arrange and pay for the collection of faulty hardware from your UK address.

3.3 European Union

Governing Legislation: Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU; Sale of Goods Directive 2019/771/EU; Directive (EU) 2023/2673 (Withdrawal Button Directive, effective 19 June 2026)

14-Day Right of Withdrawal (Online Purchases)

If you purchased the COMBAT MIRROR™ online or through any other distance or off-premises contract, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day you receive the hardware, without providing any justification.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw before the 14-day period expires. From 19 June 2026, you may exercise this right via the standardized electronic "Withdraw from Contract" button available on our website and customer account portal, in compliance with Directive (EU) 2023/2673. Alternatively, you may contact us by email or post using the contact details in Section 7.

Once you have notified us of your withdrawal, you must return the hardware within 14 days. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the hardware back, or within 14 days of you providing evidence of having dispatched the goods.

2-Year Legal Guarantee (Faulty Goods)

Under EU law, you are entitled to a minimum 2-year legal guarantee from the date you received the hardware. If the COMBAT MIRROR™ is faulty, does not conform to the contract, or does not work as advertised, we will — at no cost to you — repair or replace the device. If repair or replacement is impossible, cannot be completed within a reasonable time, or would cause you significant inconvenience, you are entitled to a full or partial refund.

If a defect becomes apparent within one year of delivery, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery, and we bear the burden of proving otherwise. Some EU member states extend this presumption period to two years under national law.

Return Freight for Faulty Goods

The cost of returning a defective product under the legal guarantee is our responsibility. We will arrange and pay for collection of the hardware from your EU address.

3.4 United States of America

Governing Legislation: Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. Chapter 50); Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) §§ 2-314, 2-315; applicable state consumer protection laws

Defective or Non-Conforming Hardware

Under the implied warranty of merchantability (UCC § 2-314), the COMBAT MIRROR™ is warranted to be fit for its ordinary purpose and free from significant defects at the time of sale. If the hardware is defective, does not function as described, or is not fit for its intended purpose, we will repair, replace, or refund the device in accordance with our written warranty terms and applicable federal and state law.

30-Day Change-of-Mind Return (Standard Policy)

For US customers, we offer a 30-day change-of-mind return window from the date of delivery. To be eligible, the hardware must be:

  • in its original, unused, and unmodified condition;
  • in its original packaging with all accessories, mounting hardware, and documentation; and
  • accompanied by proof of purchase.

A restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price applies to change-of-mind returns (see Section 5). The customer is responsible for all return freight costs.

State-Specific Disclosures

This written policy constitutes our conspicuous disclosure of return terms as required by applicable state laws, including California Civil Code § 1723 and equivalent statutes in other states. Customers in states with specific statutory return rights (including California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, and others) retain all rights afforded to them under their respective state laws, and this policy does not seek to limit those rights.

4. Warranty

COMBAT MIRROR™ provides a 12-month limited manufacturer's warranty on the hardware device from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

The warranty does not cover:

  • damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow installation and usage instructions;
  • normal wear and tear on consumable components;
  • cosmetic damage that does not affect the device's functionality;
  • damage caused by operating the device outside the permitted parameters specified in the product documentation; or
  • damage caused by third-party repairs or modifications.

To make a warranty claim, please contact our Customer Support team with proof of purchase and a description of the defect.

5. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of up to 15% of the original purchase price may be applied to change-of-mind returns where permitted by applicable law. This fee covers the cost of inspecting, testing, repackaging, and returning the hardware to inventory. The restocking fee will not be charged where:

  • the return is due to a fault, defect, or misdescription attributable to COMBAT MIRROR™;
  • you are exercising a statutory right to a refund (e.g., under the UK 30-day short-term right to reject, or the EU/UK 14-day cooling-off period); or
  • applicable law in your jurisdiction prohibits the charging of such a fee.

The restocking fee will be clearly communicated to you before you finalize your return.

6. Return Process

All returns must follow the process below:

Step 1 — Contact Customer Support

Email us at [Insert Returns Email] or use our online returns portal at [Insert Returns Portal URL] (EU customers may use the "Withdraw from Contract" button from 19 June 2026). Please include your order number, the reason for return, and, for faulty claims, photographs or video evidence of the defect.

Step 2 — Receive Your RMA Number

Our team will assess your request and, if approved, issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 5 business days. Returns received without a valid RMA number may be refused and returned to the sender at their expense.

Step 3 — Packaging

Securely package the COMBAT MIRROR™ in its original box with all custom inserts and accessories. If the original packaging is no longer available, please contact us for guidance. We accept no liability for damage sustained during return transit where the customer has arranged shipping.

Step 4 — Shipping or Collection

  • Faulty or defective returns: We will coordinate with our specialist freight partners to arrange collection from your address at no cost to you.
  • Change-of-mind returns: You are responsible for arranging and paying for return freight. We strongly recommend using a specialist freight carrier with full insurance coverage for the replacement value of the device.

Step 5 — Inspection

Upon receipt, our technical team will inspect the hardware within 10 business days. For warranty or faulty claims, we may conduct a functional assessment to confirm the nature of the defect.

Step 6 — Resolution

Once the inspection is complete, we will notify you of the outcome and process your refund, replacement, or repair as applicable. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of the inspection's completion.
